The Global Village Festival is a multicultural event with delicious international food, live entertainment, a kids village with arts and crafts and other activities, as well as cultural and religious attractions and exhibits, and an incredible international marketplace. Festival admission and parking is free as well, making this event even more popular to attend. The Kids Village, a special section of the festival with music, dance performances, an inflatable play area, interactive games, and kid friendly food, is perfect for kids aged 3-12, and will feature temporary tattoos for kids, a puppet theatre, and more. There will also be a ‘Walk For Unity’ pre-event which is put on to bring Irvine’s community together in support of global harmony and in celebration of cultural diversity. The 5k walk will start at the corner of Harvard and San Juan at 9am, but make sure to get there at 8:30am and enjoy a breakfast. After that, enjoy artistic performances which are symbolic of Irvine’s diverse community, food and drinks from more than 40 local restaurants and gourmet food trucks, as well as interactive and educational demonstrations. Their International Marketplace is a popular activity each year as well. With local, regional and international vendors, shop for unique gifts, crafts, artwork, and more.
