For nearly two decades, Family Arts Day has welcomed hundreds of participants into the Art Center’s galleries, studios, and parking lot to share in a day of exploration, art making, and fun! Professional artists lead over 10 unique, hands-on art projects in this intergenerational event. Children and their families will learn together, sharing the benefits of creative development and play.

Again this year, the fun extends into Triangle Park where approximately 75 artist booths will be set up for Huntington Beach’s very own fine arts and crafts fair, Art in the Park. Live music and food and beverage vendors will enhance this art experience, guaranteeing a delightful afternoon in our downtown HB neighborhood for all.

Long Beach Lobster Festival

It's a jam-packed day of live entertainment, fun activities and, of course, delicious lobster. All the lobster is flown in nightly from Maine, and will be available, once inside the festival, for additional purchase. In addition to lobster steamed in the world's largest cooker, lobster rolls, sliders and even lobster-on-a-stick, there'll be a food court serving up all kinds of tasty eats, plus beer, wine and specialty drinks (like the "Screaming Lobster"), arts-and-crafts booths, a live sports tent, a karaoke lounge on Friday and Saturday night, dancing and live DJ, Hollywood Stones (the best of the Stones Live!), Decades Dance Band ('70s + '80s hits) on Saturday, and Knyght Ryder and cover rock band The TRIP on Sunday.

In 1973, The City of Orange was looking for ideas to celebrate its one hundredth year. Inspired by the Orange Street Fair of 1910 it was decided that for their centennial celebration, Orange would have the Orange International Street Fair (OISF). The Fair was so successful that it has become an annual tradition during Labor Day weekend. The Fair is located near Plaza Park in the historic downtown district.

Laguna Beach 4th of July Fireworks

The City fireworks show will originate from Monument Point at Heisler Park. The Monument Point area will be closed all day on the 4th of July. Beginning at approximately 5 p.m., the area of Heisler Park from the Rock Bench at Myrtle Street to the Rockpile Beach stairs at Jasmine Street will be closed to the public to allow for fireworks preparation. City trolleys will operate under a modified schedule, the Coastal Route will run from 9:30am to 7pm and Canyon Route from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
